I kind of wanted to touch on tomorrow’s “Let’s Rock” event from Apple. But I couldn’t really find the correct “angle” for our purposes here at Useless Productivity. But, where there’s a will there’s a way.
Let’s Rock is likely an iPod-focused keynote, as the rumors of new iPod Nanos would seem to indicate. Presumably the iPod Touch will get an update, too - something quite a bit more germane to our world. I think an external speaker and external volume controls would do wonders for the Touch, with a camera and GPS capabilities less important additions. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.
And for those of you who follow Steve Jobs keynotes (”SteveNotes”) like messages from heaven, there’s a great game called SteveNote Bingo. The idea is simple: put common phrases and potential announcements on a bingo board and play along while watching the keynote (or following via live-blogs, etc.). There’s a very cool web-based SteveNote Bingo site. But what we really want is a native app.
So, kudos to Ernst-Jan Pfauth over at The Next Web for this great mockup of a SteveNote Bingo app. This thing looks great, though I doubt Apple would ever approve an app like this (they’d never acknowledge some of these kind of rumors ahead of time). Still, we can always hope.
I’ll have some thoughts on Apple’s announcements after the event tomorrow morning.
